Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Boilermaker Welder to join our factory team, fabricating and assembling high-quality agricultural machinery. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in welding and a passion for precision and quality.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform MIG welding on parts and components for agricultural machinery.
  • Fabricate machinery frames, attachments, and other structural components.
  • Read and interpret technical drawings and welding specifications.
  • Inspect welds to ensure they meet quality and safety standards.
  • Operate welding equipment and tools efficiently and safely.
  • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to resolve technical issues.
  • Maintain a clean and organised workspace, adhering to factory safety protocols.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a welder in a manufacturing or factory setting (experience in agricultural or industrial machinery preferred).
  • Proficiency in MIG welding techniques.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
  • Familiarity with factory safety standards and procedures.
  • Trade qualifications (preferred but not mandatory).
  • Physical stamina to perform factory work, including lifting and standing for extended periods.
  • Must have full work rights in Australia.

Job Overview

The Industrial Painter Labourer is responsible for preparing and applying protective and decorative coatings to various surfaces in industrial settings. The role involves working with different types of paints, coatings, and materials to ensure the proper maintenance, protection, and aesthetic quality of equipment, machinery, and structures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Surface Preparation:
    • May need to assist in sandblasting operations, experience not necessary as on the job training provided. Clean and prepare surfaces for painting by removing dirt, rust, grease.
    • Use of hot water washers, grinders and industrial machinery to clean surfaces.
  • Painting and Coating:
    • Mix and apply industrial paint and other finishes to various surfaces with spray equipment.
    • Follow safety procedures when handling chemicals, paints, and coatings.
    • Ensure coatings are applied evenly and meet quality standards (training provided).
  • Maintenance of Equipment:
    • Maintain and clean painting tools and equipment.
    • Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns to the supervisor or maintenance person.
  • Worksite Cleanliness and Safety:
    • Adhere to all safety guidelines and regulations, ensuring the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
    • Maintain a clean and organised work environment, free of hazards.
    • Assist in the setup and dispatching of jobs when required.
  • Collaboration and Communication:
    • Work closely with supervisors, foremen, and other team members to complete projects on time.
    • Follow written and verbal instructions to ensure tasks are performed accurately.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Required:
    • Basic knowledge of industrial painting techniques and coatings.
    • Ability to learn and use painting equipment, such as spray guns.
    • Familiarity with safety protocols and the use of PPE.
    • Physical stamina and the ability to work in various weather conditions.
    • Ability to lift heavy materials and work at heights when necessary.
  • Preferred:
    • Previous experience in industrial painting or a related field.
    • Basic mechanical skills for the maintenance of painting tools and equipment.
  • Must have full work rights in Australia.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 20kg).
  • Ability to stand, kneel, bend, and work in physically demanding positions for extended periods.
